There’s no denying that skincare products can cost a bomb. While they are very helpful, effective and leave you feeling smooth and refreshed, it can leave your wallet feeling pretty light.
If you’re anything like I was for a very long time, you’ll know there are a lot of home-made solutions that work just as well, if not better than the bottled varieties. Again, if you’re anything like I was for a very long time, you’ll probably think it is too much effort and will take too much time to make up all the little recipes.
That, my friends, is where you are wrong.
We all know I love a DIY. Today I’ve collated three of my favourite quick and easy home-made skincare solutions; each with only two ingredients and can be whipped together in under a minute. What is even better is that you will probably have all the ingredients at home!
For healthier skin:
1 tbsp of warm coconut oil
¼ tbsp. of turmeric
This will set overtime, so heat up a little each time you need to use it, rub the mixture into your face and wash with warm water.
Clear acne with:
1 tbsp of cinnamon
2 tbsp of honey
Leave on the skin for 10-15 minutes before washing with cold water.
For glowing skin:
2 tbsp of Greek yoghurt
2 tsp of lemon juice
Leave on the skin until hardening.
Keeping your skin healthy and clean need not be expensive and time consuming. I put together batches of the recipes for healthy skin and acne in small containers every three or so months and they will last the entire time. For glowing skin, I make on the go as the yoghurt would not last. However, it is so quick to make it doesn’t phase me one bit!
