Happy Sunday Everyone!
As you may or may not know, this is me:
I like to send my boyfriend lots of sassy and annoying pictures of myself because:
- He lives on the other side of the world
- I need to remind him how cute and goofy and adorable I can look if I want to and,
- I am sassy and savage and annoying and he can’t escape despite having skipped the country
Exhibit A & B:
Regardless, this is my every-day look and today we are going to price it!
To put this look together 9 out of 10 times I use this haul here. However, that is not to say sometimes I will add or subtract different items; a little extra ‘nude’ concealer here, a different lip shade there…you get the picture.
In this little box is:
my e.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation (Ivory)
Smashbox Full Exposure Palette
Kat Von D Shade + Light
NYX Full Coverage Concealer (Green)
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade (Medium Brown)
Revlon Ultra Volume
Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick (KOKO K)
e.l.f. Blush (Pink Passion)
Colourpop Super Shock Cheek (Tie Dye)
You might remember some of these from my post the other week on products I’d repurchase- it’s no wonder given I use them daily. Together, they create a simple, but flattering look that I personally like better than a ‘no-makeup’ style. Not to say that it isn’t a good look- I just prefer a little extra on myself!
Let’s get pricing!
According to the website, the e.l.f. foundation costs a whopping $16, while the blush was $9. I actually got the highlighter in a trio, which costs $20 but solo it costs $8. The Revlon mascara costs $13 at Priceline, and the concealer is $9.95 ( I know because I just topped up yesterday!). When I got my Smashbox palette, it was on sale, but it usually goes for around $75 at Mecca. My Shade + Light is the first in this list I didn’t nab for next to nothing- I payed the full $65 for this one! Koko K was bought on sale and as a single, but it is usually valued at $17USD. Lastly, the pomade comes in pretty close at $18USD.
So, if we convert the two USD’s into AUD, and add it all together we are looking at a whopping $225!
I’m not going to lie, when I first calculated I thought I might have gotten it wrong. Then I remembered that that is the overall price for the products, right up until I hit the pan. On top of that, I got a lot of it at a discounted price. So, that does make me feel a little better!
Do you think next week I should calculate the total cost of ALL my makeup? Let me know in the comments!
